What it has is a single village square that has quietly turned into the neighborhood's operating system, and the next six months of programming, plus one restaurant swap most residents haven't clocked yet, will reshape which weeknights you actually leave the house.
The Thursday Anchor Nobody Should Skip
The Vinings Jubilee Farmers Market runs every Thursday from 2:30 to 6:00 p.m. in the parking lot at the intersection of New Paces Ferry Rd. and Paces Ferry Rd., with over 30 vendors. Some listings around the web still show the old 2 to 5 p.m. window, so if you have not been in a season, adjust your reminder.
The vendor roster is worth memorizing rather than discovering. Notable vendors include EKIM Breads, Anisa's Secrets, Epic Fresh Seafood, Lewis Pogue Chocolates, Nisha's Flavors of India, Vivians Southern Treats, and Vinings Jubilee's Southern Baked Pie. Two names to actually plan around:
- EKIM Breads. Mike Case of EKIM Breads sells out early on hot afternoons. Come at 2:30 or come with a Plan B.
- Phil Patisserie. Philippe Monnerre has been selling his homemade baked goods for his company, Phil Patisserie, French Bakery and Desserts, at local farmers markets for years now, and the almond croissants are the reason to walk over even if you are not shopping.
The market is the reason the rest of the calendar works. Once residents are in the habit of being at the Jubilee on a Thursday, the operators around the square start layering programming on top of it.
The Restaurant Swap Most Residents Haven't Registered
Here is the piece of local news that has not made it into most neighborhood group chats yet. Fork U Concepts is switching out concepts at 2850 Paces Ferry Road at Vinings Jubilee. Stockyard Burgers & Bones will shutter at the location to make way for sister concept Cotto Modern Italian, according to Tomorrow's News Today Atlanta. The new spot is expected to open by the end of 2026.
That is a meaningful shift in the food mix. Cotto Modern Italian, which has a location in Gainesville, serves pizza, pasta dishes and entrees such as Italian porterhouse steak. There is also a beverage lineup featuring cocktails and wine. Vinings Jubilee currently leans toward tavern fare at HOBNOB, coastal tacos at bartaco, and Southern brunch at Another Broken Egg. A modern Italian anchor changes what a Friday night at the Jubilee looks like without a car trip.
Worth remembering when Cotto opens: Fork U Concepts is behind plenty of other concepts, including Southern Prospect, Taqueria Tsunami, Forno Vero and Silla Del Toro. The group has run a wood-fired Italian brand before, so the pizza program should arrive fully formed rather than under construction.
The Weeknight Map
The other thing the Jubilee has done well this summer is give each weeknight a distinct reason to be there. If you are trying to build a week that does not require a reservation two suburbs over, this is the current schedule:
- Thursday afternoon. Farmers market, 2:30 to 6 p.m.
- Thursday evening. Join HOBNOB every Thursday night for Music Bingo beginning at 7PM. Grab dinner, drinks, and test your music knowledge with a fun night out. The Jubilee calendar shows the June run going through the 25th, and it typically extends across the summer.
- Wednesday. Bourbon-focused rotating specials paired with elevated bites at HOBNOB, running through mid-June and rotating monthly.
- Anytime. Celebrate 15 years of bartaco with Golden Hour, a limited-time, high-energy evening experience. The anniversary programming is worth catching before it rotates out.
None of this is glamorous on paper. That is the point. A neighborhood that offers residents a bingo night, a Thursday market, and a Wednesday bourbon flight inside a five-minute walk is a neighborhood where you burn less gas and see more of your neighbors.
August 8: The One Date to Circle
If you circle a single Saturday this summer, make it this one. On August 8, 2026, runners, walkers, and spectators will gather for the 30th Anniversary of the Vinings Down Hill 5K Run for the Kids, three decades of community, fun, and fundraising for local children's charities.
The race has real Vinings roots. Founded in 1996 by Charles Heinz, a passionate Rotarian, it has always leaned on neighborhood volunteers rather than a corporate sponsor stack. A 30th running is the kind of milestone that draws back people who lived here in the late 1990s and moved to Sandy Springs or Brookhaven twenty years ago, so expect the after-party crowd at Paces Ferry to be dense with old-timers.
If You Are New to the Race
Two practical notes. First, the route is a genuine downhill, which is unusual for an Atlanta 5K and one reason it has kept its following. Second, race-morning parking around the Jubilee tightens fast. Residents who live in the Vinings Estates and Overlook corridors are usually better off walking down than trying to drop off at the start line.
When You Want Bigger Energy
Some nights you want the Jubilee. Some nights you want a rooftop, a giant screen, and 8,000 people who just came out of a Braves game. The good news is you can be in both worlds in a fifteen-minute drive.
The Battery Atlanta is running a full concert and festival slate through the summer. Two dates worth knowing:

- Guns N' Roses at Truist Park, September 19. Legendary rock band Guns N' Roses is coming to Truist Park in Atlanta on September 19. Where: Truist Park, 755 Battery Ave. When: Sept. 19, 2026. That one will move traffic on Cobb Parkway well before first pitch, so if you have dinner plans in Vinings that Friday evening, aim for a 5:30 seating rather than 7.
The Battery also runs its own Sunday farmers market on select summer dates, which pairs well with a morning walk from lower Vinings if you already did the Jubilee market on Thursday and want a different vendor list.
The Small Storefronts Doing More Than They Look
The last twelve months have added a set of small tenants that are easy to miss but have started to change the errand-day math at Jubilee. Drybar is now open at the shopping center at 4300 Paces Ferry Road. The California-based chain of hair salons specializes in a variety of blowout hairstyles. Appointments at the new 1,500-square-foot Vinings location are now available to book online.
Candle bar and boutique Sea Love opened, the first Sea Love location in Georgia. The store sells candles, aroma melts, diffusers, room sprays and more. Sea Love also offers candle-making classes where visitors can create customized products. It is a legitimate rainy-Saturday option with a nine-year-old that does not require a trip to the Battery.
Rounding out the new tenant lineup is California Closets, opening next year at Vinings Jubilee. Closet consults are usually a Perimeter errand. Being able to book one between school pickup and dinner is the sort of small friction that adds up over a year.
One event worth a specific note for the design-minded: Saturday, June 6, 2026, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Redefine Home in welcoming local artist Kiki Motif for a special in-showroom pop-up event at Vinings Jubilee. If you have been meaning to update art and cannot face another trip to a warehouse showroom, this is a lower-lift way in.
What This Adds Up To
Cobb County publishes a list of its farmers markets, and the county's own summary makes the case cleanly.
