Living in the Brookhaven Neighborhood of Atlanta

Brookhaven was established in the early 1900’s.

Welcome to Brookhaven

While the area known as Brookhaven was established in the early 1900’s, Brookhaven did not officially become a city until 2012. Stretching over 12 square miles of Dekalb County, Brookhaven is bordered by I-285 to the north, Peachtree Dunwoody Road to the west, Clairmont and Chamblee Dunwoody Roads to the east, and I-85 to the south. Housing options range from pre-war bungalows and cottages, trendy loft conversion buildings and the grand estate homes found in the Historic Brookhaven district. This close-knit community of approximately 50,000 plays host to a wide array of festivals and events throughout the year, including the popular Cherry Blossom Festival in April and the Chili Cook-Off and Art Festival in October. Surrounded by Buckhead, Sandy Springs, the Perimeter and a culturally rich Chamblee area, residents enjoy abundant shopping and dining options as well as convenient access to MARTA, and over a dozen area parks.
